Police in Budumba Sub County in Butalejja district have retrieved the dead body of a three month old baby boy who was dumped in the toilet by the mother.
According to Robert Wasige, an eye witness and defence secretary of Hisoho village, the mother of the now deceased child when interrogated by the villagers said she was forced to dump the three month old baby in the toilet after the man who impregnated her while she was still at school fled to Kenya; and that being a single mum she was unable to take care of him.

Angry Residents however accused the suspect, whom they identified as Prossy Nahisama, a born of Hisoho village of being a drunkard and a sex worker whom they claim was unsure of the child’s paternity.

The area LCI, Mwesigwa Festo advised his residents to try and be morally upright so as to avoid such incidences. He called upon all the girls who are unprepared of becoming mothers to desist from engaging in acts which would lead to unplanned pregnancies.
