The Bubulo East member of parliament John Musila wants the government to take away collecting tanks that have caused cracks in the region that are most likely to cause land slide.

While debating on the floor of parliament, Musila noted that the three national water collecting tanks of Ssono treatment plants, laso and lilima have been doing a great job in serving water to over four districts of Namisindwa, Tororo, Mbale and Manafawa but the threat the community is having, the cracks that has started in their community as a result of water and coldness.

He has requested the government to intervene immediately and do the needful.

The third deputy prime minister Rukia Nakadama promised Musila that the government is going to take action and do the best for the wellbeing of the community however the deputy speaker of parliament Thomas Tayebwa who chaired Wednesday plenary sitting told Musila to report to his office in case the government fails to take action in two weeks’ time.
