The Parliamentary Education committee has thrown support towards the recent decision by Ministry of Education and sports to close all the private schools

that don’t meet the maximum requirements after a National tour of inspection to establish the facts on ground.

Hon. Connie Nakayenze Galiwango the head of this committee who is also the Mbale District Woman MP revealed that the committee is shocked to find that most of the private schools in the country actually don’t meet the standards and the teachers there are truly unqualified.

Hon. Robert Musoke MP Budyope West constituency Buyende District who is also a member of the committee however blamed the Government on what he says is over laxity in the fight to improve on standards in Government schools and provide better salary to the teachers in a move to attract the pupils and teachers.
Over 100 private schools were closed across the Country for failure to meet the maximum required standards.
